A collision led to Linghed Angels FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Mohamed Fynning hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Aravena in the 9th minute of play forced Linghed Angels FC's goalkeeper Algot Ennegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Algot Ennegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Aravena, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Algot Ennegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Fritz in the 13th minute of play. With a little luck, Magallanes's Tomás Las Casas got control of the ball when Kurt Askestät tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Linghed Angels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Quintero came free, but Algot Ennegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Linghed Angels FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Ødegaard. After 29 played minutes, Magallanes's Lino Bombal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Algot Ennegren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Magallanes reached it. In the 30th minute Luis Aravena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Algot Ennegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Las Casas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Ødegaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Frank McLintock charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank McLintock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Linghed Angels FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Frank McLintock hit a great ball. Lino Bombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Ennegren having to interfere. Tomás Las Casas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Hellström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, Magallanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Formoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, Emilio Formoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After having played for 58 minutes, Hipolito Fritz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magallanes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Fritz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Las Casas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Askestät, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of Linghed Angels FC booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Formoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ove Hellström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomás Las Casas having to make a save. Lino Bombal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Algot Ennegren. Linghed Angels FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 80 played minutes Magallanes got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Leroy. If Kurt Askestät had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Las Casas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Hellström in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Linghed Angels FC booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Aravena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Linghed Angels FC's Kurt Askestät got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Las Casas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvis Figueres in the 94th minute of play. After 99 minutes of play, Linghed Angels FC's Martin Ødegaard made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Las Casas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Linghed Angels FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Magallanes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
