Hipolito Fritz scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wojciech Szczęsny, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 12th match minute, Magallanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Izaga to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ajax Poland getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Damian Pilarski hit a great ball. Wojciech Szczęsny didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Aravena went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Hipolito Fritz put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Wojciech Szczęsny. The audience was convinced that Hipolito Fritz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wojciech Szczęsny was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute Damian Pilarski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Las Casas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Hipolito Fritz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Magallanes were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the match, Luis Aravena dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wojciech Szczęsny, 0-6. Magallanes's Emilio Formoso was substituted for Brian Izaga. It was a well-played corner which Wladyslaw Mios managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Damian Pilarski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ajax Poland's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Pilarski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Las Casas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Aravena's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Wojciech Szczęsny skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Emilio Formoso kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Wojciech Szczęsny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hipolito Fritz in the 88th minute. Herminio Quintero's late challenge caught a Ajax Poland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herminio Quintero helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes Magallanes got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Quintero. Ajax Poland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Luis Aravena scored to the left of an out of position Wojciech Szczęsny, making the score, 0-7.
