But to his dismay, Luís Eduardo Reis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jacek Literski hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, ACR SA's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Esteves came free, but Waldemar Klimkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mateo Pession had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Matorin was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Motta Futebol Clube booed when ACR SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Ochylski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Ochylski came free, but Ronaldinho Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Serafim Cabral the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Motta Futebol Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Serafim Cabral had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Kuddusî Tozan struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Ronaldinho Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ACR SA. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Mateo Pession managed to get in a good position for a shot. ACR SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateo Pession was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldemar Klimkiewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diogo Tavares's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. A collision led to Motta Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Genílson Mandrak hit a great ball.
