In the 5th minute, Lawrence Gonzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldinho Arósio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Ezequiel Matorin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Demicoli was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Motta Futebol Clube's Joélson Nogueira got a free kick in the 10th minute. Joaquin Phoenix took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldinho Arósio. Ronaldinho Arósio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ronaldinho Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence Gonzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldinho Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Friggieri in the 22nd minute of the match. Motta Futebol Clube's Ezequiel Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuel Demicoli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wanderson Sampaio in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Phoenix in the 29th minute of play forced Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Motta Futebol Clube's Ezequiel Matorin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Demicoli. That made the score 1-2 after 32 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Angelo Meilak got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Friggieri to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Demicoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Gabriel Lentini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Templars FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Motta Futebol Clube the free kick. After 50 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence Gonzi. After a defensive mix-up in Motta Futebol Clube's zone, Oliver Friggieri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldinho Arósio came out of the goal and Oliver Friggieri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 61 minutes, Ezequiel Matorin made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Ronaldinho Arósio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Noel Trapani charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noel Trapani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Motta Futebol Clube booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Trapani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Noel Trapani got a free kick in the 66th minute. Samuel Demicoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Joaquin Phoenix notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Motta Futebol Clube's Ronaldinho Arósio. Ronaldinho Arósio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Cuschieri got free with Ronaldinho Arósio in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 96 minutes of play, Templars FC's Joaquin Phoenix made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldinho Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Templars FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
