Spectators: 7706 (Terracing: 5781, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Austin Gatt started the match with the kick off. If Lawrence Gonzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute Szymon Gorzkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Demicoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, ACR SA's goalkeeper Waldemar Klimkiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Austin Gatt. Lawrence Gonzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute of the match Templars FC got a corner. ACR SA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lawrence Buontempo ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Szymon Gorzkiewicz came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the ACR SA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Szymon Gorzkiewicz couldn't finish the play. ACR SA's Waldemar Klimkiewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save ACR SA from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Austin Gatt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Waldemar Klimkiewicz. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Lawrence Gonzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Klimkiewicz having to interfere. Alpertunga Erol hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Austin Gatt could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Waldemar Klimkiewicz however easily saved by the left post. Noel Trapani kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Waldemar Klimkiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Phoenix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Gonzi in the 57th minute of play forced ACR SA's goalkeeper Waldemar Klimkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ACR SA's Waldemar Klimkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin Gatt in the 59th minute of play. Waldemar Klimkiewicz came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Austin Gatt. But to his dismay, Austin Gatt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, ACR SA's Norbert Zahemski got a free kick in the 76th minute. Templars FC made a substitution. Keith DeGaetano replaced Gabriel Lentini. Templars FC made a substitution. Oliver Friggieri replaced Lawrence Gonzi. The supporters of Templars FC booed when ACR SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Zahemski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldemar Klimkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence Buontempo in the 79th minute of the match. Oliver Friggieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Waldemar Klimkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mateo Pession in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Demicoli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 84th play minutes Mateo Pession shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Samuel Demicoli and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 90th minute Keith DeGaetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Klimkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, George Pullicino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Templars FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ACR SA for a fine match.
