CJ Desailly kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Horacio Lia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahía é Carnaval's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HIT Gorica the free kick. After 12 played minutes Bahía é Carnaval got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Lia. In the 15th minute, Luis Iban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. HIT Gorica's Konstantin Pančur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Demario in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Desiderio Demario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Pančur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Romeri was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Duško Turnšek capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Duško Turnšek really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Bahía é Carnaval's Horacio Lia managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by László Tar in the 52 minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Desiderio Demario in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Konstantin Pančur saved HIT Gorica from getting behind. The throw-in from László Tar in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bahía é Carnaval's Ceferino Miro. In the 62nd minute, Roque Camerino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. HIT Gorica made a substitution. Istok Šabotić replaced Duško Turnšek. Roque Camerino kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Sergio Romeri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoni Zdrojewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The supporters of Bahía é Carnaval booed when HIT Gorica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quentin Willmott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roque Camerino was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Roque Camerino hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Sergio Romeri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Istok Šabotić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Romeri came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by HIT Gorica's Istok Šabotić. But to his dismay, Istok Šabotić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. HIT Gorica made a substitution. Slawomir Gargasz replaced Constantino Eguntsenti. In the 77th match minute, HIT Gorica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zlatko Goričan to maneuver through the defense. Konstantin Pančur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Iban in the 79th minute. Konstantin Pančur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Iban in the 82nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Istok Šabotić in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergio Romeri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Konstantin Pančur made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Luis Iban sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pastor Lano during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Bahía é Carnaval:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of HIT Gorica:s goal. Istok Šabotić kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Konstantin Pančur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After a rather tough play, HIT Gorica's László Tar got a free kick in the 96th minute. The HIT Gorica fans' excitement grew in the 99th match minute when HIT Gorica's Istok Šabotić looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The HIT Gorica fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bahía é Carnaval had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
