Dinei Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Severino Herena made a huge save. ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24's Ciro Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 12 played minutes ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24 got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Linhares. Mauricio Lauro kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Severino Herena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jair Messias in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24 getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Severino Herena made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Walmir Freitas sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Arnaldo Bide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Benito Licerio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Rodolfo Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Satordi in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Independiente were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnaldo Bide to strike the kick off in the second half. If Arnaldo Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24's Kauan Fernandes got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jair Messias in the 60th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Severino Herena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Bide came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rodolfo Damião could save by the left post. When Gaudencio Harri fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independiente's protests and gave Gaudencio Harri a yellow card for diving instead. Severino Herena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 77 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Bide dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodolfo Damião, 1-2. 90 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Neto came free, but Severino Herena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Benito Licerio scored to the left of an out of position Rodolfo Damião, making the score, 1-3. Severino Herena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Neto in the 96th minute of play. The ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Independiente were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
