Sindo Bacete started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Sporting Buceo getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Laureano Donallo hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Piearres Somiedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Goi Mondejar. RACIN DE CHAWEN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Piearres Somiedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, RACIN DE CHAWEN's goal looked a bit too open when Piearres Somiedo came free, but Goi Mondejar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Goi Mondejar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gutierrre Valseca in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Sindo Bacete ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillen Ubiña was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 35th match minute, RACIN DE CHAWEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casado Elguero to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute of the match RACIN DE CHAWEN got a corner. Sporting Buceo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Franco Babia ran over to the corner to take the kick. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Franco Babia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Guillen Ubiña in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 44 minutes into the game, Uhin Pais was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RACIN DE CHAWEN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Buceo the free kick. After a rather tough play, RACIN DE CHAWEN's Uhin Pais got a free kick in the 44th minute. Goi Mondejar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piearres Somiedo in the 45th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Xuaco Ramiréz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Buceo's Guillen Ubiña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laureano Donallo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, RACIN DE CHAWEN's Goi Mondejar got control of the ball when Piearres Somiedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th play minute Piearres Somiedo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Goi Mondejar. 1-2. Laurgain Canal hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Sporting Buceo's Emilio Alberete tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Guillen Ubiña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sindo Bacete in the 68th minute of play. Sporting Buceo's Guillen Ubiña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurgain Canal in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes RACIN DE CHAWEN got a freekick which was hit by Uhin Pais. A collision led to RACIN DE CHAWEN getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Belarmo Llinares hit a great ball. Guillen Ubiña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xuaco Ramiréz, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 90 minutes, Laureano Donallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Buceo and the RACIN DE CHAWEN players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sporting Buceo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
