It was a penalty for Alzaga FC! Conan Ledesma had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Manual Hope's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Nestor Dietz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sport Lisboa e Benfica were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Alzaga FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dominic Hahn took the corner. The corner led Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Dominic Hahn to fire away a dangerous shot which Conan Ledesma despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Conan Ledesma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manual Hope in the 13th minute of play. Conan Ledesma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Gleason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Dietz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salvador Quirze in the 16th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salvador Quirze got free with Nestor Dietz in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Salamon got free with Nestor Dietz in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manual Hope's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conan Ledesma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Placido Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alzaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Placido Lia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conan Ledesma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Gleason, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Fabricio Bustos's late challenge caught a Sport Lisboa e Benfica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabricio Bustos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Alzaga FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Fabricio Bustos hit a great ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alzaga FC's goalkeeper Conan Ledesma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Dominic Hahn was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Conan Ledesma in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 46 minutes into the match, Manual Hope notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Alzaga FC's Conan Ledesma. Conan Ledesma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Alzaga FC's Humberto Manilan was substituted for Pedro Salamon. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eustaquio Banegas to strike the kick off in the second half. Conan Ledesma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manual Hope went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Rey Pratt got a free kick in the 59th minute. Mario Gleason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Conan Ledesma made a huge save. Celso Felipillo got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Alzaga FC's Conan Ledesma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Alzaga FC from getting a goal against them. Ismael Ibañez kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Manual Hope made a precise shot to the right of Conan Ledesma. Alzaga FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Manual Hope took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Conan Ledesma. Conan Ledesma dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alzaga FC's goalkeeper Conan Ledesma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mario Gleasons short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Conan Ledesma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mario Gleason's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Conan Ledesma skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nestor Dietz came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Alzaga FC's Placido Lia. But to his dismay, Placido Lia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. If Natalio Elivareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conan Ledesma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manual Hope in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Alzaga FC's goalkeeper Conan Ledesma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Gleason. 95 minutes into the game, Humberto Manilan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alzaga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Lisboa e Benfica the free kick. In the 95th minute, Humberto Manilan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sport Lisboa e Benfica would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
