Helge Öberg's late challenge caught a Barcellos Mineiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 56th minute of the match, Jimmie Vibjörnsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Waldir Peres saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 80th match minute, Brutal DeLuxe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Barck to maneuver through the defense. Orelio Picka kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Barcellos Mineiro FC defense, Jimmie Vibjörnsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir Peres. Guga Capixaba took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolf Pihlgren. Rolf Pihlgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brutal DeLuxe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
