In the 18th minute Cícero Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 麦剑青 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 麦剑青 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frederico Palmeira's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. If Cícero Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Jansson kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dragoljub Rangelov during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Quilmes booed when Salem Gunners BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoljub Rangelov didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Quilmes reached it. When Candido Gasteiz came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Quilmes fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of Salem Gunners BK booed when Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Sagrario didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geronimo Sagrario to strike the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Åke Håkansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Nuxila in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Frederico Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot.
