Clube Atlético Mineiro's José Maria Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martien Krommert in the 14th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Clube Atlético Mineiro got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Negri. Otto Bekker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. José Maria Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, The Dalwhinnie Boys's Martien Krommert dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The Dalwhinnie Boys had won after a very even match.
