Jorge Monteiro was slow to take the kick. During this time LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's players had a chance to rest. Washington Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Delfino in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Quilmes booed when LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauã Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quilmes's 麦剑青 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lotan Otto in the 13th minute of play. João Vítor Meireles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 麦剑青 having to make a save. Washington Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Mirande in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's João Vítor Meireles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 麦剑青 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Quilmes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jorge Monteiro took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ademir Siqueira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this 麦剑青 quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Nuxila got free with Washington Cavalcante in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, José Paulo Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Quilmes's Washington Cavalcante threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodrigo Delfino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Vítor Meireles to make the kick off. In the 60th match minute, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Teles to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Quilmes's Esteban Hotz got a free kick in the 65th minute. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Narciso Motta was substituted for Kauã Antunes. João Vítor Meireles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but 麦剑青 firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Zé Paulo Ortiz hit a great ball. When Esteban Hotz fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quilmes's protests and gave Esteban Hotz a yellow card for diving instead. Esteban Hotz hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Lotan Otto got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Inácio Montenegro was substituted for João Vítor Meireles. Inácio Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's José Paulo Recife got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Nuxila in the 79th minute of play forced LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goalkeeper Washington Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Delfino came free, but Washington Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, Quilmes's Rodrigo Delfino made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Washington Cavalcante was left in no man's land by his defense there! 88 minutes into the game, Enrique Xabier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quilmes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC the free kick. In the 88th minute, Enrique Xabier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 麦剑青 made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Jorge Monteiro sent off a good shot on target. Washington Cavalcante came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Quilmes's Victoriano Mirande. But to his dismay, Victoriano Mirande quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Quilmes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
