After 11 played minutes, Cosmos Soccer Club's Harvey Flynn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Serafino Tabb came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cosmos Soccer Club reached it. After a rather tough play, Platense es de Primera!!'s Rafael Barea got a free kick in the 16th minute. Jarrett Rosenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Barea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Chano in the 21st minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Harvey Flynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicky Cavazos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Serafino Tabb made a huge save. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Barea in the 38th minute of play. Anacleto Eguen got his second yellow card in the match during the 43rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Nicky Cavazos hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmos Soccer Club's zone, Laureano Quin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarrett Rosenberg came out of the goal and Laureano Quin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Chano in the 68th minute of play. Alejandro Chano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Jarrett Rosenberg made a huge save. Jarrett Rosenberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laureano Quin went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jarrett Rosenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Barea in the 74th minute. When Marcus Rush fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cosmos Soccer Club's protests and gave Marcus Rush a yellow card for diving instead. 79 minutes into the game, one of Cosmos Soccer Club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The score was 0-3 after a penalty in the 80th minute, where Platense es de Primera!!:s Laureano Quin tricked Cosmos Soccer Club:s Jarrett Rosenberg with a difficult ball by the left post. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Barea in the 88th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Quin got free with Jarrett Rosenberg in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Platense es de Primera!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Lugo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rafael Barea fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
