Nicolae Stanciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Tolek Sidorowicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Wawrzyniec Balkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10thth minute of the game Tanek Dresik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Tanek Dresik put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. In the 18th minute, Bolo Olo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Helmuth Duckadam was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience was convinced that Tanek Dresik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helmuth Duckadam was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 26th minute Manuel Gâfu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Sidorowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helmuth Duckadam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tanek Dresik went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's Tolek Sidorowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Stanciu in the 39th minute of play. With an all-out effort, F.C. YKE's Tolek Sidorowicz threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicolae Stanciu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee felt a red card was in order, 44 minutes into the game, when Ion Ike put in a rough tackle. F.C. YKE:s Helmuth Duckadam showed great skill when he stopped Wawrzyniec Balkiewicz:s penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tanek Dresik made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Lucrețiu Culiță mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. YKE and the Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Helmuth Duckadam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bolo Olo in the 58th minute. Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kamil Jozwiak in the 60th minute. The corner led to Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's Bolo Olo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The supporters of Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy booed when F.C. YKE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Gâfu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Cazimir Puișoru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. YKE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy the free kick. A collision led to F.C. YKE getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Cazimir Puișoru hit a great ball. F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. YKE from getting a goal against them. Avram Chiru hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Izydor Zatorski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's Bolo Olo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Helmuth Duckadam. Helmuth Duckadam yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanek Dresik got free with Helmuth Duckadam in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
