Alfredo Ubriaco's late challenge caught a Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Ubriaco helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes forsal FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Ubriaco. Alex Franceschi made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Igor Sanchez sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Paul Ahlbom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. forsal FC were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristiano Carlini took the corner. The corner led forsal FC's Cristiano Carlini to fire away a dangerous shot which Paul Ahlbom despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Lisburn Distillery F.C. booed when forsal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Ubriaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, forsal FC's goalkeeper Alex Franceschi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toby Dransfield. A collision led to Lisburn Distillery F.C. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tiberiu Muja hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Alfred Szpakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the match forsal FC got a corner. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristiano Carlini ran over to the corner to take the kick. 45 minutes into the game, forsal FC's Dennis Di Pasquale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Ahlbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.

In the 53rd minute, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carmine Moretta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 54 played minutes forsal FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Calabrese. Alex Franceschi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Sanchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 67 minutes into the game, Alfred Szpakowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. forsal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lisburn Distillery F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Cezary Gdowik got a free kick in the 70th minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Toby Dransfield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Toby Dransfield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 played minutes forsal FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Ubriaco. Paul Ahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmine Moretta in the 89th minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Lisburn Distillery F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Mazza. Cristiano Carlini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Paul Ahlbom made a huge save. After 96 played minutes Lisburn Distillery F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Toby Dransfield. The forsal FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing forsal FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
