Primo Sans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christoffer Dahlquist having to make a save. Christoffer Dahlquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primo Sans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Newcastle United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Primo Sans came free, but Christoffer Dahlquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Nordmark in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Catarinense saved Academia B.F. from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Primo Sans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoffer Dahlquist was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Primo Sans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia B.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Lars Nordmark fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newcastle United F.C.'s protests and gave Lars Nordmark a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Newcastle United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lars Nordmark. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Lars Nordmark made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United F.C.'s Egil Lindman got a free kick in the 50th minute. The supporters of Academia B.F. booed when Newcastle United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Ahlqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Primo Sans's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Christoffer Dahlquist firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primo Sans got free with Christoffer Dahlquist in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christoffer Dahlquist was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Primo Sans capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Primo Sans really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Vicente Catarinense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Nordmark went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 65 minutes into the match, Academia B.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Claes Grubb came free, but Vicente Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Academia B.F.'s Primo Sans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christoffer Dahlquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. A collision led to Academia B.F. getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Michel Totti hit a great ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Michel Totti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia B.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Totti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, one of Newcastle United F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Newcastle United F.C.. When the match had been going on for 86 minutes, Academia B.F.'s Josué Godoi got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Christoffer Dahlquist. Henning Lidberg got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Claes Grubb. In the 98th minute, João Francisco Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Academia B.F.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
