The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santa Luis to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Vinicio Bidari successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Old Boys's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Loramendi was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Delfines's players had a chance to rest. In the 56th minute of the match, Charles Darwin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vinicio Bidari saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Charles Darwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vinicio Bidari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Darwin in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, The Old Boys's Tiburcio Longa got a free kick in the 61st minute. Vinicio Bidari made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Sergio Berti sent off a good shot on target. Vinicio Bidari was a little too slow when Samuel Loramendi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-2. Silvio Birjaio hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Sixto Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Delfines's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
