The supporters of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Damian Trac ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilário Borba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th match minute, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobald Ruszczyk to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's zone, Inácio Pádua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucjan Oborski came out of the goal and Inácio Pádua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Majkowski in the 16th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Hilário Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaroslaw Nigbor kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Salvador Resende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute, Damian Trac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hilário Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobald Ruszczyk in the 31st minute of play. Gremio Viana's Hilário Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Trac in the 38th minute of play. Hilário Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witold Majkowski in the 42nd minute of the match.

After a defensive mix-up in Gremio Viana's zone, Damian Trac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilário Borba came out of the goal and Damian Trac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A sloppy throw-in by Fryderyk Wiater in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gremio Viana's Armindo Marques. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Adelino Lopes got a free kick in the 58th minute. Gremio Viana were furious when Lourenço Passos was red carded, 59 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 59th minute, one of Gremio Viana:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gremio Viana. 70 minutes into the game, Adelino Lopes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lucjan Oborski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Daniel Borowski fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's protests and gave Daniel Borowski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Daniel Borowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Majkowski in the 82nd minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Hilário Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilário Borba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Witold Majkowski's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Adelino Lopes took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucjan Oborski. Lucjan Oborski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 87th minute, José Ventura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gremio Viana's Leonardo Valido quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fryderyk Wiater, made in the 89th minute of the game. Ignacy Jarocewicz charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacy Jarocewicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Ignacy Jarocewicz got a free kick in the 90th minute. Lucjan Oborski came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Adelino Lopes. But to his dismay, Adelino Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.
