In the 16th minute, Ronaldinho Cruz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Domingos Dalmau. The goal made the score 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Fernanco came free, but Edson de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes COSQUIN SFC got a freekick which was hit by Julián Alvarez. Delmiro Fernanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson de Souza having to interfere. Aquilino Richie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edson de Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match COSQUIN SFC got a corner. A A Arizona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maxi Meza ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on COSQUIN SFC's corner Maxi Meza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edson de Souza quite easily take care of the ball. Aquilino Richie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47 minutes, Jeronimo Gitano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the COSQUIN SFC and the A A Arizona players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes COSQUIN SFC got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Gitano. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Julián Alvarez took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Edson de Souza to make any attempt to save it. Luís Fabiano Branco struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Domingos Dalmau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A A Arizona. After 65 minutes, Delmiro Fernanco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the COSQUIN SFC and the A A Arizona players grew even worse after the yellow card. Delmiro Fernanco hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Domingos Dalmau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Cruz in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Maxi Meza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. COSQUIN SFC's Domingos Dalmau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Cruz in the 70th minute of play. If Valério Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of COSQUIN SFC booed when A A Arizona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The COSQUIN SFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingos Dalmau should have stopped the shot.
