Acilia Town's Beppe Scannella proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Acilia Town from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Checchia came free, but Jano Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of TAQUARI FC booed when Acilia Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Falone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Paulo França might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beppe Scannella. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Paulo França ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of TAQUARI FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Acilia Town:s goal. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Acilia Town. Alberto Diana stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jano Neves. 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Diana in the 50th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Jano Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Alessandro Checchia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jano Neves, passed just outside the right post. Adriano Soares hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Acilia Town's Beppe Scannella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Soares in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, TAQUARI FC's Adriano Soares got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Aurelio Corvasce kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Beppe Scannella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to TAQUARI FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Luís Paulo França hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Acilia Town's Aurelio Corvasce seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aurelio Corvasce the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Acilia Town protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aurelio Corvasce had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Acilia Town fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! There was no doubt that TAQUARI FC were the better team. TAQUARI FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
