Jim Kamps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joeri Buys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Gijsbert Bults shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Kamps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joeri Buys in the 12th minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Jim Kamps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Joeri Buys notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Springplank FC's Jim Kamps. Jim Kamps was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ferdi Reis took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ted Stroobos. Ted Stroobos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jim Kamps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnold Hemmen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jim Kamps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Hemmen in the 25th minute of the match. When Jari Litmanen fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Springplank FC's protests and gave Jari Litmanen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Springplank FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jari Litmanen hit a great ball. Joeri Buys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Kamps having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christijan van Asseldonk came free, but Jim Kamps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Joeri Buys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Springplank FC's Jim Kamps was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Springplank FC defense, Joeri Buys kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jim Kamps. The Springplank FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jim Kamps should have stopped the shot. Christijan van Asseldonk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Kamps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joeri Buys in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Joeri Buys had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jim Kamps. Springplank FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joeri Buys was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The Springplank FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Albertus FC were winning 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferdi Reis to make the kick off. With 52 minutes on the clock, Niels-Jan Drok commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Jim Kamps had in the 53rdth minute some difficulties stopping Christijan van Asseldonk's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Freek Reitsema blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ted Stroobos having to make a save. After 58 minutes of play, Albertus FC's Joeri Buys made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Kamps was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristo Guzman got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Arnold Hemmen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joeri Buys in the 67th minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Jim Kamps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Kamps made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joeri Buys in the 69th minute. Jim Kamps was a little too slow when Joeri Buys got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 2-5. Joeri Buys hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Joeri Buys managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albertus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joeri Buys was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Kamps breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Springplank FC's zone, Cristo Guzman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jim Kamps came out of the goal and Cristo Guzman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Springplank FC's Jim Kamps proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Springplank FC from getting a goal against them. Springplank FC's Jim Kamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joeri Buys in the 98th minute of play. Albertus FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
