The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Zdzislaw Kajdasz put in a rough tackle. In the 2nd minute, one of E. C. Flamengo Paraibano:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for E. C. Flamengo Paraibano. Mané Barreto had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Rúben Dantas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Albin Anundsson struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Almiro Setúbal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for E. C. Flamengo Paraibano. In the 16th minute, Erberk Tunçkol fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Almiro Setúbal, passed just outside the right post. Mané Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Gaspar in the 28th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Sporting Clube Patrício got a freekick which was hit by Rúben Dantas. Almiro Setúbal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erberk Tunçkol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Mourinho in the 39th minute of play forced E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goalkeeper Mané Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Clube Patrício's goalkeeper Almiro Setúbal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseu Mourinho made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Sporting Clube Patrício got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Santiago. In the 54th minute, Erberk Tunçkol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almiro Setúbal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 61st minute Yuri Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sporting Clube Patrício's Mané Barreto threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yuri Gaspar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Gaspar in the 68th minute of play forced E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goalkeeper Mané Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube Patrício's zone, Albin Anundsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almiro Setúbal came out of the goal and Albin Anundsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Jefferson Ortiz was substituted for Jorginho Lago. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano made a substitution. Thomás Loureiro replaced Erberk Tunçkol. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube Patrício's Eliseu Mourinho got a free kick in the 76th minute. Thomás Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almiro Setúbal having to interfere. A collision led to E. C. Flamengo Paraibano getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Edinho Dantas hit a great ball. Eliseu Mourinho had several of the E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Mané Barreto as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Sporting Clube Patrício getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Aristides Soveral hit a great ball. Bernardinho Vaz hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Mané Barreto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
