In the 2nd minute Ionuț Văduvescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Kamps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Springplank FC's goalkeeper Jim Kamps, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 28 played minutes Springplank FC got a freekick which was hit by Freek Reitsema. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Junior Coman in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jim Kamps saved Springplank FC from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Ferdi Reis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dacians Academy's Maxim Stroia didn't even have to move. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Junior Coman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play, Springplank FC's Jari Litmanen made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxim Stroia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Junior Coman kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Horea Barbosu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxim Stroia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdi Reis in the 73rd minute of play. It was Viorel Mateescu who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Junior Ronaldinho got free with Jim Kamps in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute, Niels-Jan Drok had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. A collision led to Springplank FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 97 minutes Dacians Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ferdi Reis who took care of the corner kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
