The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Remus Agudaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Davalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Guib Bravo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THE CRYSTAL SHIP the free kick. Edgar Josan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Vicente Davalos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mugurel Moculescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Hugo Aristizábal went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 14 played minutes THE CRYSTAL SHIP got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Tutunaru. In the 19th minute, Edgar Josan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vicente Davalos. The goal made the score 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Remus Agudaru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vicente Davalos. That made the score 2-1 in the 24 minute of play. The supporters of THE CRYSTAL SHIP booed when VERDOLAGA CITY FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Sorin Itoafă in the 27th minute really tested Vicente Davalos's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 30 played minutes VERDOLAGA CITY FC got a freekick which was hit by Rocio Camerin. After 32 minutes, Edgar Josan made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Vicente Davalos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sorin Itoafă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Davalos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Vicente Davalos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Codruț Turcescu in the 38th minute. Victor Hugo Aristizábal hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Sorin Itoafă got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vicente Davalos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 45th minute, Codruț Turcescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vicente Davalos. The goal made the score 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Josan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicente Davalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Sinulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Davalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Josan in the 63rd minute of play. Vicente Davalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Josan in the 65th minute of the match. Vicente Davalos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Codruț Turcescu went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Eftimiu in the 76th minute of play forced VERDOLAGA CITY FC's goalkeeper Vicente Davalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The coaching staff of THE CRYSTAL SHIP protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Iustinian Sinulescu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Terciero Orantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Mugurel Moculescu made a huge save. Edgar Josan scored 6-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Davalos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vicente Davalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Josan in the 89th minute of the match. Cristian Tutunaru hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Vicente Davalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Josan in the 92nd minute of play. THE CRYSTAL SHIP's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
