The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes, MICE F.C.'s Giovanni Parisis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clarence Palorini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MICE F.C. reached it. Tarada's Clarence Palorini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Tarada from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauritz Ackerman in the 15th minute of play forced MICE F.C.'s goalkeeper James Rodanakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Stefanos Stavroulis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MICE F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarada the free kick. Laurent Weyermann's late challenge caught a MICE F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurent Weyermann helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MICE F.C. booed when Tarada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. After a rather tough play, MICE F.C.'s Christos Koumis got a free kick in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, MICE F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mick Racine came free, but James Rodanakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 played minutes MICE F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Christos Koumis. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marios Georgiadis was the one to do the kick off. Laurent Weyermann hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. A collision led to MICE F.C. getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Manos Kapriniotis hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Andrej Schifferli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jarno Mutach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Tarada supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tarada would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
