Spectators: 7745 (Terracing: 5810, Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 154) AFC United's Denis Law started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Michel Pernambucano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pirro Pereta. Michel Pernambucano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pirro Pereta in the 6th minute. With a little luck, XV de Piracicaba's Michel Pernambucano got control of the ball when Pirro Pereta tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haruna Hassan in the 9th minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Frasco Esquivel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, AFC United's Denis Law dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Michel Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to AFC United getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Balesio Leiva hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Law got free with Michel Pernambucano in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of XV de Piracicaba booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balesio Leiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th match minute, AFC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nardo Torrecilla to maneuver through the defense. Balesio Leiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Michel Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edwin Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of XV de Piracicaba booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemanja Vidic didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haruna Hassan to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Law in the 61st minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Michel Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Balesio Leiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Murillo Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. XV de Piracicaba's Michel Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pirro Pereta in the 77th minute of play. Wen Yong Sha kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Murillo Trigo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Archibaldo Ahumada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michel Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archibaldo Ahumada in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute Pirro Pereta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Nilson Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, AFC United's Archibaldo Ahumada tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
