GUAYACO's Luís Ferreira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Sedeni was left in no man's land by his defense there! Téo Meireles in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rolando Sedeni, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 0 descensos's Rolando Sedeni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Pillado in the 22nd minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of 0 descensos's goalie and right to Ortiz Zumarraga. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. 0 descensos's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 25 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when C.A. GUAYACO's Téo Meireles fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Téo Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Téo Meireles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Sedeni was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Leonides Cueto's late challenge caught a 0 descensos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonides Cueto helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Cueto. After 35 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Murieta. In the 36th minute, Faustino Frederico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of 0 descensos booed when C.A. GUAYACO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Canton didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Benitez in the 45th minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Arias Burgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Sedeni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Ferreira in the 46th minute. In the 47th match minute, C.A. GUAYACO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Murieta to maneuver through the defense. Rosendo Benitez, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Téo Meireles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Israel Cordero kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Agustin Pillado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Sedeni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arias Burgo was a little too slow when Faustino Frederico got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 1-1. Arturo Estevez kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th match minute, 0 descensos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Estevez to maneuver through the defense. Téo Meireles took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Sedeni. Rolando Sedeni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Rolando Sedeni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Murieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, 0 descensos's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Meireles came free, but Rolando Sedeni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that C.A. GUAYACO were the better team. C.A. GUAYACO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
