Arias Burgo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Law in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the C.A. GUAYACO defense, Edwin Ortiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arias Burgo. The C.A. GUAYACO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arias Burgo should have stopped the shot. Balesio Leiva struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Arias Burgo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC United. Téo Meireles struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Frasco Esquivel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. GUAYACO. In the 19th minute Pirro Pereta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arias Burgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th match minute, AFC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Balesio Leiva made a precise shot to the right of Arias Burgo. C.A. GUAYACO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 29th minute Téo Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frasco Esquivel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Law came free, but Arias Burgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35thth minute of the game Denis Law who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. GUAYACO's Arias Burgo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frasco Esquivel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Pillado in the 36th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Nardo Torrecilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ortiz Zumarraga hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Téo Meireles to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Luís Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Téo Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Leonides Cueto got a free kick in the 59th minute. GUAYACO's Gutierrez Castorena seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gutierrez Castorena the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of C.A. GUAYACO protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gutierrez Castorena had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of C.A. GUAYACO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AFC United:s goal. 70 minutes into the match, Archibaldo Ahumada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arias Burgo. C.A. GUAYACO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Archibaldo Ahumada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pirro Pereta got free with Arias Burgo in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Arias Burgo managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when AFC United's Denis Law fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luís Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Frasco Esquivel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Law might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arias Burgo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Law ran back to his position shaking his head. Agustin Pillado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frasco Esquivel having to interfere. After 91 played minutes AFC United got a freekick which was hit by Denis Irwin. The C.A. GUAYACO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AFC United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
