AFC United's Frasco Esquivel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Sanches in the 12th minute of play. Diamantino Senna made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Pirro Pereta sent off a good shot on target. César Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed César Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. César Brito hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Diamantino Senna made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Denis Law sent off a good shot on target. Frasco Esquivel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Dedê Freire put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Futbol Club RRFV getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Dedê Freire hit a great ball. Pirro Pereta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Diamantino Senna made a huge save. With a little luck, Futbol Club RRFV's Diamantino Senna got control of the ball when Pirro Pereta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Futbol Club RRFV's Diamantino Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balesio Leiva in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Futbol Club RRFV's goalkeeper Diamantino Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pirro Pereta. The supporters of Futbol Club RRFV booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kauã Lira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Pirro Pereta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dorival do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Futbol Club RRFV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorival do Vale couldn't finish the play. Frasco Esquivel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauã Lira in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival do Vale in the 59th minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Frasco Esquivel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes, Baltasar Zunzunegui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC United and the Futbol Club RRFV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, AFC United's Baltasar Zunzunegui got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pirro Pereta in the 65th minute of play forced Futbol Club RRFV's goalkeeper Diamantino Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AFC United's zone, Kauã Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frasco Esquivel came out of the goal and Kauã Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Senna came free, but Frasco Esquivel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Futbol Club RRFV's Luís Guilherme Mesquita got a free kick in the 77th minute. AFC United's Archibaldo Ahumada got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute Pirro Pereta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin Ortiz took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diamantino Senna. Diamantino Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Denis Law hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 91 minutes AFC United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcel Hoffmann who took care of the corner kick. Diamantino Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
