In the 12th minute Armando Paniagua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arias Burgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remo Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Arias Burgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Fábio Montoia hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Fábio Montoia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute Armando Paniagua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Remo Goiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. GUAYACO's Arias Burgo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 34 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Luís Ferreira. A collision led to XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Fábio Montoia hit a great ball. In the 45th match minute, XV de Piracicaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Jurdan to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Paniagua was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the C.A. GUAYACO defense, Remo Goiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arias Burgo. The C.A. GUAYACO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arias Burgo should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Ferreira during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of XV de Piracicaba booed when C.A. GUAYACO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Jurdan in the 62nd minute of play forced C.A. Arias Burgo made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Remo Goiano sent off a good shot on target. Arias Burgo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by XV de Piracicaba's Fábio Montoia. But to his dismay, Fábio Montoia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 79th minute Gonzalo Jurdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arias Burgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Paniagua in the 91st minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Michel Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Haruna Hassan made a precise shot to the right of Arias Burgo. C.A. GUAYACO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. When the match was over XV de Piracicaba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A. GUAYACO throughout the match.
