MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Gelu Amânaloae proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV from getting a goal against them. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Gelu Amânaloae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Arieșan in the 9th minute of play. Codruț Tuleiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Bostan, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ilie Balaci in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gelu Amânaloae saved MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV from getting behind. F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Ilie Balaci got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Budișteanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Cutieru in the 26th minute of play forced F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goalkeeper Codruț Tuleiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gelu Amânaloae was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ilie Balaci showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alin Stolniciu was the one to do the kick off. Ciprian Boeru's late challenge caught a MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciprian Boeru helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Ciprian Boeru got a free kick in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silviu Cutieru got free with Codruț Tuleiu in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Ciorănescu hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Manuel Boteanu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 77th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Codruț Tuleiu but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Stelaru in the 78th minute of play forced F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goalkeeper Codruț Tuleiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Deșliu hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Ilie Balaci might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gelu Amânaloae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ilie Balaci ran back to his position shaking his head. Gelu Amânaloae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilie Balaci in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Silviu Cutieru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Tuleiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
