After some careless play in the Caaguazu defense, Hercule Alcaraz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giro Rollan. The Caaguazu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giro Rollan should have stopped the shot. Caaguazu's Giro Rollan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hercule Alcaraz in the 30th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Conrado Faron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Marcel Mugnier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of En avant de guingamp booed when Caaguazu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Faron didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hercule Alcaraz to strike the kick off in the second half. Beltza Rubin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Giro Rollan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Bruna, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
