Daniel Palomar was slow to take the kick. During this time Atletico Maturrango's players had a chance to rest. Ovidio Maureo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Efrain Vilardell went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 12 minutes into the game, Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidio Maureo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fabricio Martxot charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabricio Martxot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Sportivo Ben Hur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Martxot to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes of play, Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ovidio Maureo was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Atletico Maturrango's Xuban Llave got control of the ball when Marciano Maxin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidio Maureo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Efrain Vilardell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidio Maureo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Atletico Maturrango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Palomar to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Efrain Vilardell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Maureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Atletico Maturrango were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

57 minutes into the game, Efrain Vilardell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Ovidio Maureo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute, Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ovidio Maureo. Ovidio Maureo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Ovidio Maureo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 0-8. Atletico Maturrango's Ederono Ojero was substituted for Efrain Vilardell. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Maxin in the 71st minute of play forced Atletico Maturrango's goalkeeper Xuban Llave to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xuban Llave took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Lizbeth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Marciano Maxin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xuban Llave. Atletico Maturrango's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marciano Maxin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-8. 79 minutes into the match, Ederono Ojero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ovidio Maureo, 1-9. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Ben Hur's goalkeeper Ovidio Maureo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 85 minutes, Eliseo Ralondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Ben Hur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Ralondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimeno Lizbeth took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xuban Llave. Xuban Llave dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-9. Ovidio Maureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ederono Ojero in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atletico Maturrango eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
