Gheorghe Stoiciu charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gheorghe Stoiciu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Rasnita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gheorghe Stoiciu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Rasnita's Horia Moisescu got a free kick in the 15th minute. Daniel Palomar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Atletico Maturrango booed when Rasnita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stelian Petru didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dragoş Neacșu during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rasnita's Dragoş Neacșu got a free kick in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Rasnita's Manuel Hogaș got control of the ball when Efrain Vilardell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Hogaș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Vilardell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell managed to work through Rasnita's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Efrain Vilardell dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Xuban Llave showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Petru, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 30 minutes Rasnita's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Palomar who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Antonio Salmanton got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Manuel Hogaș quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Efrain Vilardells short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Manuel Hogaș to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 39th minute of the match Atletico Maturrango got a corner. Rasnita's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Palomar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rodney Anievas made a great header on Atletico Maturrango's corner, it was just that Rasnita's Manuel Hogaș managed to reach the ball for a save. Xuban Llave showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Petru, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Efrain Vilardell was the one to do the kick off. Stelian Petru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Hogaș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Vilardell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Atletico Maturrango's 郑斐博 got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that Efrain Vilardell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Hogaș was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 69th minute, Efrain Vilardell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Hogaș was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Atletico Maturrango made a substitution. Ederono Ojero replaced Efrain Vilardell. 74 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's Ederono Ojero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Hogaș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Atletico Maturrango's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ederono Ojero in the 75th minute. Fidencio Santandres hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rasnita's zone, Ederono Ojero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Hogaș came out of the goal and Ederono Ojero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 82 minutes of play, Atletico Maturrango's Ederono Ojero made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Hogaș was left in no man's land by his defense there! Orlin Hinojosa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Manuel Hogaș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ederono Ojero in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the Rasnita defense, Ederono Ojero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Hogaș. The Rasnita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Hogaș should have stopped the shot. Fidencio Santandres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Manuel Hogaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rasnita players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atletico Maturrango.
