Lions United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Palmiro Picasso scored to the left of an out of position Izak Capellemans, making the score, 1-0. The referee ignored Lions United's protests and gave Christoph Van Ghele a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pau Nas Canelas booed when Lions United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoph Van Ghele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matias Calstermans's late challenge caught a Pau Nas Canelas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Palmiro Picasso took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Izak Capellemans to make any attempt to save it. Izak Capellemans made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Palmiro Picasso sent off a good shot on target. Izak Capellemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palmiro Picasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christoph Haßelmann was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Christoph Van Ghele in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pau Nas Canelas's Américo Henriques. Carl Vinckx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Bai Chao Zheng made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, Lions United's goal looked a bit too open when Palmiro Picasso came free, but Izak Capellemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bai Chao Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Vinckx in the 60th minute of the match. Izak Capellemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoph Haßelmann in the 61st minute of play. Izak Capellemans came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Pau Nas Canelas's Palmiro Picasso. But to his dismay, Palmiro Picasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 67 minutes into the match, Pau Nas Canelas's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Calstermans came free, but Bai Chao Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Izak Capellemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palmiro Picasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lions United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Avelino Tinoco was slow to take the kick. During this time Pau Nas Canelas's players had a chance to rest. When Christoph Van Ghele was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Lions United's Christoph Van Ghele got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Palmiro Picasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, Christoph Haßelmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Izak Capellemans. Lions United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christoph Haßelmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Izak Capellemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Palmiro Picasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Izak Capellemans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Palmiro Picasso's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Nunez Sasoin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pau Nas Canelas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lions United the free kick. In the 87th minute, Nunez Sasoin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matias Calstermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bai Chao Zheng having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Palmiro Picasso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Izak Capellemans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lions United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
