Spectators: 7756 (Terracing: 5821, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ignatios Papachronakis started the match with the kick off. Olof Palme made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Eleftherios Fasoulas sent off a good shot on target. Olof Palme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Kalokiris in the 8th minute of the match. Isaac Wållander hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Olof Palme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignatios Papachronakis in the 19th minute of the match. GREEN LIONS were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Vännäsby BF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Apostolis Nafpliotis took the corner. GREEN LIONS's Apostolis Nafpliotis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olof Palme in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Osvald Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anestis Zorbas having to interfere. Anestis Zorbas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Karlsson in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to GREEN LIONS getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eleftherios Fasoulas hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eleftherios Fasoulas got free with Olof Palme in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, Ignatios Papachronakis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Olof Palme, 1-0. If Osvald Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magnus Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anestis Zorbas having to interfere. Magnus Karlsson took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anestis Zorbas. Anestis Zorbas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvald Ekström in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anestis Zorbas saved GREEN LIONS from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvald Ekström to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Eleftherios Fasoulas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvald Ekström struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Anestis Zorbas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vännäsby BF. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanos Katsafanas in the 58th minute of play forced Vännäsby BF's goalkeeper Olof Palme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, GREEN LIONS's Anestis Zorbas got control of the ball when Osvald Ekström tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignatios Papachronakis in the 61st minute of play forced Vännäsby BF's goalkeeper Olof Palme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitris Kalokiris took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olof Palme. Olof Palme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Eleftherios Fasoulas scored 4-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olof Palme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Magnus Karlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Magnus Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anestis Zorbas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GREEN LIONS's Anestis Zorbas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvald Ekström in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Magnus Karlsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anestis Zorbas. Magnus Karlsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. The GREEN LIONS support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
