In the 3rd minute Osvaldo Oidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Peter Wansink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Morales in the 6th minute of play forced Winthont FC's goalkeeper Jan-Peter Wansink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Gonzalo Morales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Naranja Mecánica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Morales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, one of Winthont FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Winthont FC. Winthont FC:s Jan-Peter Wansink showed great skill when he stopped Samuel Checa:s penalty. In the 20th minute, Samuel Checa made a precise shot to the right of Jan-Peter Wansink. Winthont FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Gonzalo Morales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan-Peter Wansink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Morales in the 25th minute of play. Winthont FC were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after La Naranja Mecánica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cobus Wit took the corner. After 29 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Cor Tevreden. After some careless play in the Winthont FC defense, Gonzalo Morales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Peter Wansink. The Winthont FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Peter Wansink should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Winthont FC's zone, Gonzalo Morales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Peter Wansink came out of the goal and Gonzalo Morales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Winthont FC's Slim Shady in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Naranja Mecánica's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Samuel Checa was slow to take the kick. During this time La Naranja Mecánica's players had a chance to rest. The corner led La Naranja Mecánica's Michel Platini to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan-Peter Wansink despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gonzalo Morales might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan-Peter Wansink. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonzalo Morales ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan-Peter Wansink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Morales, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jan-Peter Wansink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Morales in the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute La Naranja Mecánica were awarded a corner. Samuel Checa went to the cornerflag to take it. Samuel Checa made a great header on La Naranja Mecánica's corner, it was just that Winthont FC's Jan-Peter Wansink managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in La Naranja Mecánica's zone, Jorn de Zwaan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorn de Zwaan in the 92nd minute of play forced La Naranja Mecánica's goalkeeper Otto Smitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacobus Lubbers in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otto Smitt prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
