Gabriel Turi hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the game, La Naranja Mecánica's Gonzalo Morales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tautvydas Mickevičius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Gabriel Turi hit a great ball. Gonzalo Morales took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tautvydas Mickevičius. Tautvydas Mickevičius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Gonzalo Morales's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tautvydas Mickevičius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Otto Smitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Carrillo in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, La Naranja Mecánica's goalkeeper Otto Smitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Turi. In the 27th minute, Omar Erez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tautvydas Mickevičius came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by La Naranja Mecánica's Gonzalo Morales. But to his dismay, Gonzalo Morales quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. It was beautiful to see La Naranja Mecánica's D.J. Abel in action when he in the 35th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! La Naranja Mecánica's Otto Smitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save La Naranja Mecánica from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Gabriel Turi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Otto Smitt. That made the score 1-3 after 37 minutes of play. Otto Smitt made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Gabriel Turi sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Gabriel Turi got a free kick in the 40th minute.

The wind increased when Gonzalo Morales made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Gonzalo Morales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, La Naranja Mecánica's Gonzalo Morales dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Morales in the 75th minute of play. Tautvydas Mickevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Morales in the 77th minute of play. Osvaldo Gabon made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by La Naranja Mecánica's Israel Xabat. 82 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Morales came free, but Tautvydas Mickevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Morales in the 84th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Morales dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tautvydas Mickevičius, 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Morales in the 91st minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Osvaldo Oidor fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Naranja Mecánica's protests and gave Osvaldo Oidor a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes La Naranja Mecánica got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Oidor. When the match was over La Naranja Mecánica could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA throughout the match.
