Spectators: 8002 (Terracing: 6003, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) Manolito Neira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nelson Frazier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marino Sadin having to interfere. After 11 minutes of play, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Merrill Banks made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marino Sadin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Merrill Banks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marino Sadin was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. When Florentino Manterola fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colo-Colo's protests and gave Florentino Manterola a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Colo-Colo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Manterola to maneuver through the defense. Marino Sadin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merrill Banks, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Ian Chapui got control of the ball when Lucho Pérez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marino Sadin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Rivera, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Merrill Banks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marino Sadin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merrill Banks in the 38th minute of play forced Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Marino Sadin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Racing Miami Futbol Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Racing Miami Futbol Club's Denny Godwin was substituted for Nelson Frazier. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ervin DeJesus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marino Sadin was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Merrill Banks capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Merrill Banks really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Merrill Banks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Miami Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Merrill Banks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marino Sadin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucho Pérez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colo-Colo made a substitution. Lois Reveco replaced Florentino Manterola. Marino Sadin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Cassidy in the 79th minute. Colo-Colo's Marino Sadin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lyle Macias in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Marino Sadin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genaro Cassidy. After 85 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Lyle Macias. The crowd rose to their feet as Racing Miami Futbol Club's Genaro Cassidy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marino Sadin. That made the score 0-3 after 88 minutes of play.
