INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Márcio Santos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marcial Belasko in the 9 minute of the game. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Head Son, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Fred Valencia lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Octavio Lauaxeta. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Lucas Head Son took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Octavio Lauaxeta to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Head Son got free with Octavio Lauaxeta in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simbo FC's Octavio Lauaxeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Valencia in the 26th minute of play. Fred Valencia spun around in front of the goal 26 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Simbo FC's goal. After a rather tough play, Simbo FC's Rogelio Gombal got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Simbo FC's zone, Lucas Head Son stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Lauaxeta came out of the goal and Lucas Head Son tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alisson Goycochea came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Simbo FC's Nair Galarza. But to his dismay, Nair Galarza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 42nd minute, Fred Valencia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 43 played minutes Simbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Cris Miró. In the 45th play minute Lucas Head Son came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Octavio Lauaxeta. 4-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Nair Galarza made the kick off in the second half. Alisson Goycochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Banegas in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match, Lane Rhoades got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alisson Goycochea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lane Rhoades in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alisson Goycochea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Octavio Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Valencia in the 54th minute of play. Feliberto Mouricio hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, Simbo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Gombal to maneuver through the defense. After 61 minutes, Arda Göksel Özguven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA and the Simbo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Lane Rhoades made a precise shot to the right of Alisson Goycochea. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-5. Segundo Neron made in the 86th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Arda Göksel Özguven. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Lucas Head Son looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Lucas Head Son came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Head Son couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Fred Valencia made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Lauaxeta. Simbo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-5. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
