ZigZag Athletic's Mehmet Akif Ersoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Dossena in the 8th minute of play. Fedele Schiacciacasse made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Tiago Corrêa sent off a good shot on target. ZigZag Athletic's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bengt-Rune Öman in the 12th minute. In the 14th match minute, A.S. Udinese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Dossena to maneuver through the defense. A.S. Udinese's Fedele Schiacciacasse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save A.S. Udinese from getting a goal against them. Rodrigo Nestor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Fedele Schiacciacasse made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Corrêa got free with Fedele Schiacciacasse in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A.S. Udinese's Fedele Schiacciacasse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save A.S. Udinese from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, A.S. Udinese's Fedele Schiacciacasse got control of the ball when Rodrigo Nestor tried to sneak it across the goal line. A.S. Rodrigo Nestor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fedele Schiacciacasse firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fedele Schiacciacasse made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Tiago Corrêa sent off a good shot on target. Fedele Schiacciacasse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Nestor in the 46th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Emiliano Scannella mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.S. Udinese and the ZigZag Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Emiliano Scannella got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
In the 53rd minute of the match ZigZag Athletic got a corner. A.S. Udinese's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bengt-Rune Öman ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the A.S. Udinese defense, Rodrigo Nestor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fedele Schiacciacasse. The A.S. Udinese fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fedele Schiacciacasse should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the match, ZigZag Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Dossena came free, but Mehmet Akif Ersoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Corrêa in the 62nd minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Fedele Schiacciacasse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Scannella's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Akif Ersoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. When Emiliano Scannella came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the A.S. Udinese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Scannella couldn't finish the play. A.S. Udinese's Corrado Restaino was substituted for Silvio Che. ZigZag Athletic made a substitution. Per-Olof Brolin replaced Kjell Boberg. A.S. Udinese's Junior Maldini was substituted for Emilio Dossena. Fedele Schiacciacasse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Nestor, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Isaksson came free, but Fedele Schiacciacasse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corrado Restaino lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A.S. Udinese:s Fedele Schiacciacasse showed great skill when he stopped Nicki Nick:s penalty. Junior Maldini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Nestor took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fedele Schiacciacasse. Fedele Schiacciacasse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Junior Maldini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Mehmet Akif Ersoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the ZigZag Athletic players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
