Spectators: 7979 (Terracing: 5985, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 159) 2 minutes into the game, Michel Batistuta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STAL ST WOLA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alexandria Team08 the free kick. The supporters of Alexandria Team08 booed when STAL ST WOLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Batistuta didn't get a good kick on the ball. STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Raniolo in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute Mădălin Răduț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Matai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Raniolo in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Matai saved STAL ST WOLA from getting behind. In the 15th minute Zygmunt Bielejewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurențiu Popescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Laurențiu Popescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Roman Matai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mădălin Răduț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, STAL ST WOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Raniolo came free, but Roman Matai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alexandria Team08's Mădălin Răduț in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye STAL ST WOLA's goalie prevented a goal. Laurențiu Popescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artaç Hendekli in the 28th minute of play. After 31 played minutes STAL ST WOLA got a freekick which was hit by Zygmunt Bielejewski. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mădălin Răduț in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Matai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roman Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Răduț in the 35th minute of play. Roman Matai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mădălin Răduț, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute.

Mădălin Răduț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Matai having to interfere. Adriano Raniolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurențiu Popescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artaç Hendekli, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Artaç Hendekli came free, but Laurențiu Popescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roman Matai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mădălin Răduț in the 72nd minute. STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save STAL ST WOLA from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute Zygmunt Bielejewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurențiu Popescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurențiu Popescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaw Bendyk in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Batistuta in the 82nd minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Laurențiu Popescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Petcu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Roman Matai made a huge save. STAL ST WOLA's Mikolaj Lech was substituted for Zygmunt Bielejewski. If Mădălin Răduț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Alexandria Team08's zone, Michel Batistuta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurențiu Popescu came out of the goal and Michel Batistuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
