The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Spartak de Txurdi's goal looked a bit too open when Diguinho Velloso came free, but Eulalio Majua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidnei de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Mosquera in the 7th minute of the match. Celedonio Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Sidnei de Andrade made a huge save. When Celedonio Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Spartak de Txurdi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Eulalio Majua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 孔翔沙 in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Buritama Sports's goalkeeper Sidnei de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celedonio Ribeiro. 20 minutes into the game, Celedonio Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Sidnei de Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sidnei de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Ribeiro in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Buritama Sports's zone, Celedonio Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidnei de Andrade came out of the goal and Celedonio Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celedonio Ribeiro in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidnei de Andrade saved Buritama Sports from getting behind. Eulalio Majua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 孔翔沙 in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Spartak de Txurdi's Leocadio Castro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leocadio Castro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Spartak de Txurdi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leocadio Castro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 32 minutes into the game, one of Spartak de Txurdi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eulalio Majua had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Celsinho Cosme's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Spartak de Txurdi's Doğan Ferikoğlu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marquinhos Penha, made in the 35th minute of the game. Eulalio Majua came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Buritama Sports's Jan-Ove Gustavsson. But to his dismay, Jan-Ove Gustavsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan-Ove Gustavsson was the one to do the kick off. Aírton Veiga hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Alessandro Félix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Eulalio Majua made a huge save. 57 minutes into the game, Alessandro Félix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buritama Sports's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spartak de Txurdi the free kick. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sports's Alessandro Félix got a free kick in the 58th minute. Celedonio Ribeiro took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sidnei de Andrade. Sidnei de Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Spartak de Txurdi's Celedonio Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Spartak de Txurdi's goalkeeper Eulalio Majua had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Félix. John Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sidnei de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Ribeiro in the 69th minute of play forced Buritama Sports's goalkeeper Sidnei de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Celedonio Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidnei de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Spartak de Txurdi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Kalla to maneuver through the defense. Spartak de Txurdi made a substitution. Regis Jaen replaced Nickolas Horemans. After 75 played minutes Spartak de Txurdi got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Kalla. Eulalio Majua made an important save on a dangerous shot by 孔翔沙 in the 77th minute. When Spartak de Txurdi's Celedonio Ribeiro in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buritama Sports's goalie prevented a goal. Sidnei de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Celedonio Ribeiro sped through Buritama Sports's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sidnei de Andrade. Sidnei de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Ribeiro in the 92nd minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Spartak de Txurdi's Celedonio Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidnei de Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-2. Spartak de Txurdi's Eulalio Majua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Ove Gustavsson in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Celedonio Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Buritama Sports's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
