Raúl Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vlassis Giannoglou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Templários MZC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rubens Arce in the 17th minute. The corner ended in Rubens Arce almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Saronida FC's Vlassis Giannoglou did a great save. Templários MZC's Raúl Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Seco in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vlassis Giannoglou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute Panos Siafakas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Raúl Seco made a precise shot to the right of Vlassis Giannoglou. Saronida FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 36th match minute, Templários MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Vlassis Giannoglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tarcisio Rosado was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. With a little luck, Templários MZC's Almir Sarmento got control of the ball when Panos Siafakas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dimitris Koubouris's late challenge caught a Templários MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saronida FC's Stamatis Agathakis collided with an opponent after 64 minutes. Templários MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saronida FC the free kick. After 64 played minutes Templários MZC got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Almeida. Saronida FC's Markos Renieris was substituted for Antonis Vrazilianos. With a little luck, Saronida FC's Vlassis Giannoglou got control of the ball when Raúl Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Templários MZC defense, Markos Renieris kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Almir Sarmento. The Templários MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Almir Sarmento should have stopped the shot.
