Saronida FC's Vlassis Giannoglou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Saronida FC from getting a goal against them. With his leg Vlassis Giannoglou managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Leicester Lions's Glyn Everard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 10th minute, Adam Bettney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petros Maragoudakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Saronida FC's Vlassis Giannoglou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Saronida FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Saronida FC booed when Leicester Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Peacock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leicester Lions's Callum Barratt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Siafakas in the 21st minute of play. Vlassis Giannoglou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glyn Everard in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Leicester Lions booed when Saronida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonis Vrazilianos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vlassis Giannoglou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mike Wadham in the 33rd minute. Vlassis Giannoglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Pearch, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Panos Siafakas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saronida FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Siafakas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leicester Lions's Callum Barratt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Siafakas in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Leicester Lions's Patryk Plučinský got a free kick in the 45th minute. Callum Barratt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Malamas in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Saronida FC's Achilleas Mamalis was substituted for Dimitris Koubouris. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Wadham in the 54th minute of play forced Saronida FC's goalkeeper Vlassis Giannoglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stamatis Agathakis's late challenge caught a Leicester Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stamatis Agathakis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Saronida FC's Stamatis Agathakis got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute Nikos Malamas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Callum Barratt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Malamas in the 57th minute of play forced Leicester Lions's goalkeeper Callum Barratt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Callum Barratt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Malamas in the 61st minute of play. Saronida FC's Sotiris Pavlidis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. Vlassis Giannoglou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 91st minute Buster Cheesman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlassis Giannoglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
