NAPOLI's protests and gave Ermanno Scarinci a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Saronida FC booed when S.S.C. NAPOLI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Scarinci didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Edoardo Proietti throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nikos Malamas in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 22nd minute Saronida FC were awarded a corner. Petros Maragoudakis went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Saronida FC's corner Petros Maragoudakis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edoardo Proietti quite easily take care of the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Dimitris Koubouris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Edoardo Proietti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emiliano Pari struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Vlassis Giannoglou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.S.C. NAPOLI. A collision led to S.S.C. NAPOLI getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Comunardo Bertoni hit a great ball. Edoardo Proietti made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Panos Siafakas sent off a good shot on target. Vlassis Giannoglou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nejat Özoğuz in the 36th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikos Malamas during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Edoardo Proietti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save S.S.C. NAPOLI from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the match, Saronida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo Bertoni came free, but Vlassis Giannoglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonis Vrazilianos to make the kick off. S.S.C. NAPOLI's goal looked a bit too open when Markos Renieris came free, but Edoardo Proietti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 played minutes S.S.C. NAPOLI got a freekick which was hit by Donato De Lorenzi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikos Malamas in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edoardo Proietti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Nikos Malamas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edoardo Proietti was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of S.S.C. Vlassis Giannoglou was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nejat Özoğuz. Edoardo Proietti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panos Siafakas, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Edoardo Proietti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Malamas in the 96th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Saronida FC fully deserved thier win.
