Eulalio Majua went to the wrong direction when Joseph Bruno was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Vince Galea made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Spartak de Txurdi's Raymond Kalla. In the 21st minute of the match, Robert Seychell tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eulalio Majua saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Mosquera in the 27th minute of play. Clayton Gerada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Mosquera, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Mosquera in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clayton Gerada saved Seraċini Għawdxin from getting behind. In the 31stth minute of the game Manuel Mosquera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute Angelo Trigona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Majua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Eulalio Majua managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Seraċini Għawdxin's Andrew Miggiani fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Manuel Mosquera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Clayton Gerada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrew Miggiani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Spartak de Txurdi's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Miggiani came free, but Eulalio Majua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Spartak de Txurdi booed when Seraċini Għawdxin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roderick Gordon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Manuel Mosquera came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Spartak de Txurdi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Mosquera couldn't finish the play. Eulalio Majua was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luca Zarb made in the 72nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Paul Montebello. The crowd rose to their feet as Manuel Mosquera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clayton Gerada. That made the score 4-1 in the 74 minute of play. Eulalio Majua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Seychell, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Clayton Gerada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Mosquera in the 79th minute of the match. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Spartak de Txurdi had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
