When Nikos Malamas came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Saronida FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Malamas couldn't finish the play. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Malamas in the 8th minute of play. After 10 played minutes, Saronida FC's Dimitris Koubouris shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francesco Toldo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saronida FC reached it. The supporters of Resurrección Diabólica Ψ booed when Saronida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Minas Rodanakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel-Omar Lewandowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dimitris Koubouris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saronida FC's Petros Maragoudakis got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 20 played minutes Resurrección Diabólica Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel-Omar Lewandowski. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panos Siafakas got free with Francesco Toldo in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Saronida FC's Panos Siafakas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francesco Toldo. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. Petros Maragoudakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Toldo having to interfere. When Che Perón fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's protests and gave Che Perón a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Che Perón got a free kick in the 35th minute. The supporters of Saronida FC booed when Resurrección Diabólica Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mando Lucifer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panos Siafakas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Francesco Toldo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Antonis Vrazilianos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saronida FC's Achilleas Mamalis was substituted for Dimitris Koubouris. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mando Lucifer was the one to do the kick off. Saronida FC's Vlassis Giannoglou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Saronida FC from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Pavlidis came free, but Francesco Toldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saronida FC made a substitution. Markos Renieris replaced Antonis Vrazilianos. Saronida FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petros Maragoudakis in the 66th minute. Lei Yun Lei tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Francesco Toldo. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-0 in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Saronida FC's goalkeeper Vlassis Giannoglou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel-Omar Lucifer. Francesco Toldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markos Renieris, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Francesco Toldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markos Renieris in the 78th minute of play. Lei Yun Lei lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 78 minutes into the game, one of Resurrección Diabólica Ψ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 87 minutes into the match, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Markos Renieris came free, but Francesco Toldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vlassis Giannoglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel-Omar Lucifer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, Vladimiros Karezis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saronida FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Resurrección Diabólica Ψ the free kick. A collision led to Saronida FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Vladimiros Karezis hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Vouzounerakis. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Venancio Uhin got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Resurrección Diabólica Ψ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Saronida FC.
