When Adelino Patrício fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ponte do Carro's protests and gave Adelino Patrício a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Ángel Reguera in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heitor Horta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Ponte do Carro booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Terciero didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Milton Umaña hit a great ball. Filipe Poças in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carlos Navarro Montoya, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Filipe Poças had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Poças came free, but Carlos Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Navarro Montoya came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Ponte do Carro's Filipe Poças. But to his dismay, Filipe Poças quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 32 minutes into the game, Altino Guerreiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Carlos Navarro Montoya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Heitor Horta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milton Umaña went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute, Ponte do Carro's Vladimiro Corte-Real dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Mateo Terciero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipe Poças stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mateo Terciero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Heitor Horta made a huge save. If Mateo Terciero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Ayala. In the 64th minute, Noel Pacheco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Navarro Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Poças in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Zelaya came free, but Heitor Horta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Poças came free, but Carlos Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Altino Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the GuateFortín defense, Noel Pacheco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Navarro Montoya. The GuateFortín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Navarro Montoya should have stopped the shot. Heitor Horta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Zelaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ponte do Carro's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
